Emily's questionnaire analysis!

My questionnaire [[will attach when I can get hold of the file]] was decided to try and determine what sort of topics two difference age groups would have wanted in the magazine. I went for lots of ticking boxes and circling answers, without the need for own opinion long answers. I gave 10 copies to students between the age of 16-18, and 10 to a group of students between the age of 11-15.

In the study of the 16-18 students, I found that they seemed a lot more open to the idea of Educational material being put into the magazine; this may be due to the mature attitude towards exams, which doesn't seem to be the case with the younger students. The elder teenagers also agreed that Freebies are a must have! What better way to entice readers than offer free game trials, DVD's and iTunes cards? This was ticked by all elder and lower students.

The lower students cared very little for educational material being put into the magazines, as well as a majority reading Cartoon based magazines.

Something that was very clear to see was that neither groups knew about any existing Student magazines (Bolt, Juiced, Sixth Sense and Teen Spirit) which did seem very popular was I was researching; this may be due to market competition.

With the cover ranking, the ender students seemed to lean towards the clear, spacious, layout (Vogue and Q) but they did however also tick the options about Celebrities and associated magazines.
The younger students seemed to prefer the more crowded cover of Computer Games and Kerrang.
