Photos (Raw files)

This photo is of Tom (Guitarist) of our created band "The Explosion" We got him to smash up an acoustic guitar. For this particular shot we got Matt to throw some of the broken pieces into shot, which make it look like he has just smashed it up. We decided on this photo because the background will be easy to edit, the model, scenery and objects can be clearly seen as well as it being sharp. I only done basic editing on this photo (lighting, sharpening, colour enhancing) on Nikon Picture Project.

This photo is of Daisy (Bassist of our created band "The Explosion") She already had her own bass guitar, and is in a local band which plays live. So we asked her to do her best "gig pose"; which is very natural and easy to look at. The bassist in a band is known for almost being in the background, but with the heavy colour contrast between her dark clothes, and bright colour; we feel it makes her stand out.

This photo is of Charlotte (lead vocalist of our created band "The Explosion") for this shot, we asked her to actually physically scream down the microphone; which can be seen through her expression. Her clothes are very rough, connotating ideas of amateur rehearsal and casual practicing, which we feel is important for the message of the article.

This is Josh (drummer of our created band "The Explosion") we assembled the drum kit to look like he had jumped through it (a situation often seen in the rock music scene) I used 2 hard remote lights to make the background more washed out for easier editing on the final assemble. We asked him to wear typical "indie" style clothes (hoody, converse, baggy jeans, etc) which I feel come across in the image.

Altogether these images are going to be edited together to create one final picture; this will be the front cover of our magazine. However, other images from the shoot will also appear inside the magazine on the featured article.
